How To Scan Tickets or Passes
SingStrong uses an APP that has been preloaded onto our ipod touches to scan the barcodes off of our tickets.
The scan shows one of two messages: (1) success or (2) already scanned.
TICKET SUCCESS
When a ticket is scanned and shows "success", we allow entry.
WEEKEND PASS SUCCESS
When a Weekend Pass is scanned and shows "success", we allow entry

How to Scan
We use ipod touches, but here you see an iPhone. They will look mostly the same.
You can see the screen shows several folders and apps.
Our APP is called "SingStrong" and it shows up with our logo: a fist holding a mic in front of a star. The color is orange.
If you don't see this APP, make sure to brush your finger across the screen from right to left.
This swiping motion may reveal a second, third or 4th screen where the app may be located.
(This will depend on how many apps and folders are on the device.
Tap the App
Tap the SingStrong APP once to open it.
The "SingStrong" App Opens
This screen opens up.
Press the large white button marked "Scan"
Now you need a ticket with a barcode to scan.
The APP looks for a Barcode
The white square is where the scanner is "looking".

We need to position the barcode of a ticket or Weekend Pass so it shows in the viewfinder's white rectangle.

We provide a Barcode from a Ticket or Weekend Pass
This picture shows a barcode.
It is in the white square so the scanner is looking at it.
As soon as the barcode is seen, the APP will verify that the code is valid.
Remember, sometime the scanning APP works so fast that you hardly have time to position the ticket before it immediately recognizes the code. It's that fast!
The APP Tells Us Success or Already Scanned
The scanner recognized the barcode!
In a split second, that code was sent to the database which told your scanner that the ticket is
valid.
How do you know the ticket is valid?
Because the screen says "Success"
Ready to Scan Again
Press OK and you are ready to scan the next ticket or badge!
What Happens If You Scan the Same Ticket More than One Time?
What happens if you scan the same ticket more than once?
You get this message:
"Already Scanned".
Just press ok and you're ready to move on to the next scan!
